My interest in dietetics began with a life changing diagnosis of celiac disease in 2004. After fifteen years of being misdiagnosed and subjected to multiple tests and medications, I was finally on the right track to good health through diet. Along this path I found a passion and love for helping others in trying to find ways to make diet changes, even small ones, which will allow them to feel their best. I have followed a gluten free diet for a number of years now and have found a special interest in helping others navigate this difficult diet. I believe in making a diet work for the individual and not the other way around; you are unique and so should your diet be. I am a Richmond, VA native and obtained my Bachelor of Science from Virginia State University. I also completed my Dietetic Internship with Virginia State University. During this time I found my dedication for helping anyone that must follow restrictive diets for gastroparesis, chronic kidney disease, food allergies and those who suffer from inflammatory bowel diseases such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (I.B.S.), FODMAP,  Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease.  I stay active in and serve on the board of the Gluten Intolerance Group of Richmond (GIGRVA).

I enjoy cooking, reading, researching, watching movies, music, learning about foreign languages and cultures and spending time with family and friends.
